Building Legacy Through Faith-Driven Entrepreneurship

When I first picked up a camera, I wasn’t thinking about legacy—I was thinking about light—light that exposes, light that heals, light that tells the truth. It didn’t take long to realize that I wasn’t just taking pictures. I was capturing the transformative power of purpose through storytelling.

As a woman veteran and survivor of childhood sexual trauma, I know what it means to carry untold stories. For years, I held my pain in silence. But healing has a way of birthing vision—and out of that healing came Speaking From the Lens.

This isn’t just a media company. It’s a sacred space where stories get seen, voices get honored, and people walk away with beautiful imagery and a more profound sense of identity. From branding shoots for authors and coaches to capturing the strength of women’s retreats, my goal is simple: to glorify God through visual storytelling.

Being an entrepreneur is not easy. But when you’re called, you don’t chase success—you walk in obedience. I don’t just want to build a business. I want to build a platform where purpose is illuminated and where others—especially women veterans—see what’s possible when you bring faith into your work.

That’s why I pour the same passion into Finding Your Voice, my coaching and advocacy space, and into every podcast episode launching May 1, 2025, book and devotional I create. It’s all connected. It’s all ministry.

I’m often asked what distinguishes Speaking From the Lens from other media brands. My answer? We don’t just shoot content. We capture emotion and craft legacy.

We tell the story behind the brand. We make space for vulnerability. And we believe that excellence and anointing are not mutually exclusive.

Shero Coffee Club represents what I believe entrepreneurship should be about—community, courage, and Kingdom impact. I’m honored to stand alongside other women veterans who are building with purpose, walking in boldness, and letting their light shine.

I’m not here to impress. I’m here to serve. I’m building a legacy through faith, letting the Lord lead, and trusting that the story He’s writing is far greater than anything I could imagine behind the lens.  I’m trusting Him in the process, believing that every story, every scar, and every small act of obedience is part of the greater purpose He’s writing through my life.
