The Beauty of Celebrating Each Other in Our Moments

It’s my birthday month.
The world says this is my time—my celebration, my spotlight. And while I’m grateful for every candle, call, and kind word, something in me is even more drawn to the beauty of celebrating others in the midst of my own moment.
Because here’s what I’ve learned: the light doesn’t dim when you share it—it multiplies.
We live in a world that often whispers, “Make it all about you.” But the most powerful women I know? They cheer the loudest for others even when the celebration is theirs. They honor the shine. They amplify the light. They don’t compete with brilliance—they reflect it.
This month, I’m choosing to live that out loud.
Not because I don’t value myself, but because I do. And I know the kind of woman I want to be. A woman who sees another sister win and says, “Let me light you up too.” A woman who can be center stage without forgetting who helped build the stage. A woman who knows that every celebration is sweeter when it includes a chorus of voices—laughing, clapping, lifting one another higher.
So yes, celebrate your birthday. Your new job. Your milestone. Your glow-up. Take the moment. Embrace the spotlight. But don’t forget to share that shine. Because someone else’s light doesn’t threaten yours—it reminds you of just how much brightness this world holds when we all rise together.
Here’s how to share the shine this season:
Send a voice note celebrating someone’s quiet wins.
Post a shoutout that highlights another woman’s hard work.
Say “thank you” in a way that makes someone feel seen, not just appreciated.
Give someone their flowers while they can still smell them.
This birthday month, I’m sharing mine. Because if I’ve learned anything from being part of this Shero sisterhood, it’s this:
We’re not here to stand alone in the light.
We’re here to be the light—for ourselves, and for each other.
